In the 1500s, the Dutch were responsible for changing the colour of carrots from purple to orange! Together, scientists and growers developed the new variety to honour their then reigning King, William of Orange. The new orange carrot tasted better and contained beta carotene, thus making it a healthier alternative. So much for always associating monarchy with the colour purple.

Torys, a prestigious law firm with offices in Toronto and New York, and a H&W client since 1991, turned to us when they wanted to refresh their brand and collateral marketing materials. The cornerstone of this project was the complete overhaul of their 1000+ page website and corresponding internal portal. Over the past 10 months, we've worked closely with Torys' in-house marketing team and programming partner to design an engaging and robust site. In addition, we "tweaked" the logotype and palette, and created new firm and practice brochure systems, as well as Law Guides, M&A Trends, a Patent Intelligence Report and stationery. Needless to say, after all that work, a comprehensive graphic standards manual is now in the works to document it all.
